Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales in the Far West region by developing and implementing dealer-wise sales plans, expanding the dealer network, and ensuring product and brand visibility. The role involves strategic planning, coordination with internal teams, market research, and managing key accounts to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement dealer-wise sales plans based on market analysis, sales targets, and regional dynamics.
- Focus on achieving revenue targets and optimizing sales processes.
Promotional Activities:
- Plan and execute local activities, events, and promotional campaigns to raise brand awareness and drive product visibility.
- Work closely with dealers to ensure product displays are aligned with brand guidelines.
Dealer Network Expansion:
- Identify and establish new dealerships in vacant cities and untapped areas to expand the market reach.
- Build strong relationships with potential and existing dealers.
High-Value Product Focus:
- Prioritize selling high-value products in the region and ensure effective display and promotion at dealerships.
- Provide dealers with required training and support to improve product visibility.
Showroom Opening & Coordination:
- Coordinate showroom opening activities, ensuring alignment with company standards and timelines.
- Support dealers during showroom set-up and launch phases.
Market Analysis & Competitor Monitoring:
- Conduct regular market visits to identify potential customers, understand market trends, and gather insights on competitor activities.
- Analyze the size of the market and potential growth opportunities.
Dealer Relationship Management:
- Regularly visit dealers to monitor sales performance, resolve issues, and provide updates on collection, sales, and branding requirements.
- Address any operational challenges dealers may face and ensure prompt solutions.
Cross-Department Coordination:
- Liaise with internal departments (logistics, finance, production, etc.) to resolve issues related to order processing, material delivery, payment details, and data requirements.
- Ensure smooth communication between the sales team and other departments.
Team Guidance & Mentorship:
- Guide, mentor, and motivate team in the region.
- Conduct weekly reviews of the teams' performance, offering guidance and strategies for improvement.
Collaboration with Marketing Team:
- Coordinate with marketing coordinators to ensure timely availability of samples, promotional items, and marketing materials for dealers.
- Support the marketing team in executing local campaigns and ensuring effective product promotions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in managing dealer networks and implementing sales strategies.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and competitor activities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve targets.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
