1. Educational Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree

2. Industry Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, 3 years of experience in the hygiene product industry (e.g., baby diapers, sanitary napkins, wet wipes) with expertise in MT and TT market operations and minimum 6 months of experience as Area Sales Manager.

  • Candidates with experience at Unicharm, P&G, Nappy, Sagun, or other local hygiene product brands are highly preferred.

3. Market Development Expertise:

  • Proven ability to independently develop new markets and establish distributor networks.

4. Communication and Negotiation Skills:

  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and team management abilities.

5. Client Resources:

  • Candidates with an established network of potential customers in Nepal’s hygiene product market will be prioritized.

6. Planning and Execution Capability:

  • Strong skills in planning, organizing, and executing tasks under tight deadlines.

7. Flexibility and Resilience:

  • Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to changing market conditions (travel expenses covered by the company.

Job Description

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding the assigned market to achieve sales targets, strengthen market coverage, and grow the company’s distribution network. This role requires strong market insight, distributor management experience, and a proven track record in the hygiene product industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Management and Development

  • Oversee and develop the assigned market to meet sales objectives, expand market share, and increase product coverage.
  • Create and implement market development plans tailored to Nepal’s hygiene product market, including both MT and TT sectors.

2. Sales Operations

  • Organize and manage sales activities to ensure targets are consistently achieved.
  • Develop regional sales strategies and provide direction to sales teams.

3. Distributor and Dealer Management

  • Manage distributors and dealers to ensure compliance with company standards and agreements.
  • Develop and strengthen distributor networks to enhance product penetration and sales efficiency.

4. Inventory and Order Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with clients to create effective order plans.
  • Ensure seamless supply chain operations across the region.

5. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and distributors.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to address challenges and provide tailored support.

6. Market Intelligence and Reporting

  • Gather and analyze market data, competitor insights, and sales trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on market performance.

7. Promotion and Campaign Execution

  • Implement marketing and promotional campaigns in the assigned region.
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness and impact of campaigns for continuous improvement.

8. Planning and Budgeting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans and budgets.
  • Align regional goals with company objectives.

9. Key Account Management

  • Focus on managing and retaining key accounts to ensure sustainable and profitable partnerships.

10. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with company policies for financial management and inventory turnover.
  • Monitor and mitigate potential risks in the sales process.
