Android Developer

This role is focused on development within the logistics android applications and utilities for various tracking and management related services. This is an interesting application that is used globally by our customers for all aspects of operational planning, strategic resourcing, exploration, etc. The main responsibility of an Android Developer is to develop applications for devices that are powered by the Android operating system. In addition, an Android developer must pay special attention to the application’s compatibility with multiple versions of Android and device types. A person must have system architect experience and proficiency with documentation skills including but not limited to (detailed) design documents, technical white papers, testing, and user manuals.  The person must be adept and willing to commit to the team-oriented development environment and have great communications skills. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
