Title: Air Pollution Measurement Associate (Instrument Associate) (open for Nepali nationals only)

Summary
We are looking for someone who is a passionate about air quality management, with proven skills in air quality monitoring. We are looking to hire an Air Pollution Measurement Associate to assist senior scientists in the operation and maintenance of trace gas measurement instruments, testing and installation, observatory development, and fieldwork. The associate will also support capacity-building trainings, data visualisation and backup, and linking atmospheric data to ICIMOD’s Regional Database System.
The applicant must results driven and motivated to make a difference. You will be based in Kathmandu, Nepal, and working in a cross-cultural, impact-oriented environment. Under the direct supervision of the Water and Air Theme Leader and the general guidance of the Atmosphere Regional Programme Manager, the Air Pollution Measurement Associate will fulfil the following duties and responsibilities:

Duration
One year, with a probation period of three months, starting as early as possible. Possibility of extension subject to performance and ICIMOD’s future funding levels.
Remuneration
Salaries and benefits of ICIMOD are competitive compared to other regional organisations; remuneration is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Duty station
The duty station is Kathmandu. Frequent travel and fieldwork will be required.
