Women’s Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) is a national level NGO working for women's human rights and to ensure women empowerment with feminist value through protection and promotion of human rights and social justice focusing on campaigns- against violence against women, and women's economic, social and cultural rights nation-wide. We currently work in 19 districts with district offices in Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Siraha, Dhanusha, Dang, Kailali, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rukum, Kapilvastu, Rupandehi and, Surkhet with Central Office in Lalitpur. Finance and Administration Coordinator - AFC

Location : Central Office

Education Qualification and Skills: 

  • The candidate should have a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Management with professional qualification (CA, ACCA) with at least 3 years’ of post qualification work experience. OR, Master’s degree in Accountancy or Management with at least 5 years of working experience in Finance and Accounting field in NGO/INGO sector in a senior supervisory/management position/s
  • Experience of handling accounts and finance of national level NGO/INGO with at least a few branch offices is desired
  • Have knowledge on monitoring and supervision of financial performance of organization
  • Have methodical and strategic thinking and good communication skills
  • Skilled in project management and excellent in organizational management skills, budgeting and accounting experience
  • Knowledge of donor reporting having strong writing skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement policies, guidelines, and criteria for overall management of the organization from Central Office and organisation’s project finances in accordance with Organizational standards and donor regulations
  • Provide leadership on all budgets, expenditure monitoring, and monthly/ quarterly and six monthly financial reporting 
  • Develop project budgets and identify and implement strategies to ensure spending is aligned with project implementation 
  • Managing and improving the company's entire financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems 
  • Supervise human resource management functions, inventory and procurement functions, general administration of the organization, and ensure smooth operations of projects and campaigns at and from the Central Office 

Planning and Budgeting of Project 

  • Financial forecasting, budgeting, monitoring and supervision of the overall financial system 
  • Support Program Director and program Coordinators in preparation of annual project budget, Yearly Plan of Operation (YPO), financial report and periodic project financial report 
  • Preparation of Budget vs. Actual report on monthly basis circulate it to the concerned program director 

Financial Monitoring and Reporting 

  • Consolidate and analyze various finance related data to support planning, management and reporting 
  • Ensure an effective internal control system (ICS) and financial management system within the organization, the district office and supervision of overall financial systems with inclusive frameworks and procedures 
  • Coordinate with the external/internal auditors; prepare audit action plan with timeline and responsibilities & follow up of the audit action plan until all the audit observations are resolved 
  • Receive and keep track of the Programme audit reports, SWC approvals , SWC monitoring 

Financial Management 

  • Approve vouchers / expenses; Supervise petty cash management 
  • Supervise payroll (Salary/benefits), allowances and financial advance management of all staffs 
  • Ensure timely and proper records of all financial transactions 
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting as per the organizational and donor’s requirement 
  • Maintain up to date accounts of all transactions by programme, with adherence to Financial policy, Nepal Accounting Standard (NAS), International Accounting Standard (IAS) and donor’s financial reporting requirements in a transparent manner 
  • Verification of bank reconciliation statements on a monthly basis 
  • Proper Management of Income Tax 
  • Ensure the transparent and competitive procurement of goods and services at all times, 
  • Development of various financial forms and policies as required
