KOSHISH is a non-governmental self-help organization registered in District Administration Office, Kathmandu in 2008 and affiliated with Social Welfare Council. KOSHISH is a right-based organization working extensively in advocacy in and multi-disciplinary and holistic mental health and psychosocial support in Nepal. In addition, KOSHISH is also working in system strengthening and creating a model that the government and other stakeholders may able to replicate.

  • At least Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Studies
  • At least 2 years of experience in Administration and Financial Management of I/NGO
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Nepali
  • Excellent skill in financial documentation
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software. Experience in working with FAMAS will be added advantage
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and in team
  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project
  • Able to accomplish quality work with strict deadlines
  • Applicants who have a valid two-wheeler license will be added value

Job Description

  • Maintain financial and accounting system of the projects efficiently
  • Ensure the accuracy of the data entered into software and document properly on a timely basis
  • Release advance, review and verify expenses of field activities
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly budget forecast and request to the central office for disbursement
  • Visit field office to take settlement/remburesement of the staff on timely basis.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial report of the projects
  • Prepare monthly bank/cash reconciliations Statement 
  • Review and compile books of the projects for preparation of financial statements
  • Identify issues in accounting and discuss with the admin/finance coordinator for possible resolution
  • Ensure internal control over field office as per the admin/finance guidelines of KOSHISH
  • Update project-specific variance status and issues to line manager and project officer/manager
  • Facilitate external and internal financial audit of the organization
  • Maintain and update leave records of field staffs and update to the central office on a regular basis
  • Maintain and update fixed asset register and inventory of stock of field offices on a regular basis
  • Maintain good cooperation and collaboration in the finance department
  • Other duties as per assigned by the organization
