Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Admin and Finance Officer will be responsible for both financial and administrative works of the project and organization (as required)
The major financial duties and responsibilities of the officer include accounting, software operation, reporting and documentation, cash flow/fund management, compliance
Administrative duties and responsibilities are to conduct works related to general administration, assets management, coordination, procurement function, inventory management, etc

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 5 years

Other Specification

Minimum of Bachelors' Degree in finance, accountancy or Management with at least 5 years of experience or preferably Masters in the same field with at least 3 years of experience on development projects
Experience coordinating human resources management activities, including application of labor laws, recruitment, and performance appraisal systems
Acquaintance on taxation policy of Nepal is a must

Democratic Freedom and Human Rights Institute (DFHRI) is an independent and not-for-profit making organization established in 2007 in Kathmandu Nepal. It has been registered at District Administration Office, Lalitpur and is affiliated with Social Welfare Council, Government of Nepal. Since its establishment, the DFHRI has been working in Nepal to protect and promote human rights with focus on transitional justice, rule of law and accountability. The DFHRI respects and promotes diversity and plurality both in its structural make-up and operational interventions. It has an inclusive governing board of nine members led by a lawyer and six regular staff members led by another human rights lawyer.
