Job Description

This vacancy is for (1) HO-Kathmandu, Branch Offices-(1) Itahari & (1) Birtamod. Qualified Candidates are requested to send a cover letter stating their preferred location (Itahari, Birtamod, Butwal, Pokhara, Chitwan etc.) at [email protected]. The Account Officer will be responsible for managing the daily financial operations, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with other departments to support the company's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in English medium & digitally.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing and managing budgets, ensuring spending aligns with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local regulations.
  • Handle VAT, TDS, and other tax-related filings and ensure timely payments.
  • Work closely with the HR, procurement, training and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any financial discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement best practices for accounting systems and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations.
