Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in trading accounting, strong knowledge of taxation and VAT, and proficiency in accounting software and Excel. This role requires collaboration with multiple internal departments and external stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

1. Basic Accounting: To prepare vouchers and data entry in software for upto date financial data preparations

Voucher Preparations of petty cash, POS, Bank, Inter Branch/Company adjustments, TDS, Pre-paid and Advance Expenses, Adjustment and Reconciliation
Date entry of cash and bank, journal, sales, sales return, purchase, purchase return, debit/credit notes, Challan

2. Reconciliation: For any mistakes, errors

Cash and Bank- Cash Book and Bank Statement and Parties
TDS Receivables/Payables- monthly basis up to verification including collection of required documents
Obtaining balance confirmation from parties

3. Online Submission/Verifications and Tax Related:

VAT and TDS Payables
TDS Receivables
Facilitating tax Audit and full audit
Follow up for mismatch
Tax related reconciliation
Visiting tax office, when required

4. Organizational/ Interpersonal Related

To co-ordinate with different internal departments and stores for timely and accurate reporting
To follow-up with clients for accurate and timely accounting for VAT and Tax
To maintain accuracy in inventories

5. Software Related

Coordinating and communication with software company, incase of any software related situation

6. Costing

Computation of cost of product
Nullifying the TT account
Follow up with custom agent for documents

7. Other tasks as required.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

MBS with major Accounts/ Finance
Minimum 3 years of experience in Trading Accounting
Proficiency in accounting software, especially Synergy Software.
Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
Strong knowledge of VAT, TDS, and taxation processes in Nepal.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to coordinate effectively across departments and with external parties.
