Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, financial reporting, bookkeeping, and compliance tasks of the co-operative. The role requires accuracy, reliability, and strong knowledge of accounting practices in the cooperative or financial sector.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain updated financial records.
Record all income, expenses, and financial transactions in accounting software.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Reconcile bank transactions, cash books, and ledgers.
Manage member accounts, deposits, loans, and interest calculations.
Assist in internal and external audits.
Prepare financial reports for management and regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with Nepal Rastra Bank cooperative regulations.
Support the management with budgeting and financial planning.
Maintain confidentiality of financial data.
Perform additional duties assigned by the management.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Higher Secondary (+2/A Levels/IB)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Required Age:Less than 35 years

Other Specification

Minimum education: +2 or Bachelor’s level (Management preferred).
At least 1 year of experience in accounting with computers (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
Ability to prepare financial reports and statements.
Minimum 18 years and not exceeding 35 years.

Salary & Benefits

Monthly Salary: NPR 20,000/-
Social Security Fund (SSF) coverage as per organizational rules.
Additional benefits as per cooperative policies.
