Currently, the company has invested to develop cascade project of Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower Project (135 MW), Lower Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower Project (140 MW), and Upper Marsyangdi Hydropower Project (325 MW) through its own separate project companies.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Financial Management, or related fields.
  • Able to use English as a working language.
  • Possess a basic understanding of financial operations in Nepal’s hydropower industry, with knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and relevant national tax regulations. 
  • Candidates holding professional accounting qualifications such as CA or ACCA will be given preference.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit, with family support, to travel frequently to and from the project site in Manang.

Skills required: 

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in collaborating with banks and financial institutions on company-related matters.
  • Proficiency in office software, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Have strong work enthusiasm.

Job Description

Department: Department of Finance

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accounts management.
  • Making cross-border payments by taking approvals from the required relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct the project financing works including but not limited to loan interest, principle and the dividend repatriation process, and FDI approvals. 
  • Analyze domestic and international financial market trends, including micro and macro-economic indicators.
  • Ability to collect, track and analyze large amounts of data
  • Lead annual statutory audits including tax audits and other relevant project audits.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
  • Prepare periodic financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, consultants, relevant government regulatory bodies and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor project costs, and identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Senior Management.
