Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the organization’s overall financial health.

Reports to: Chief Finance Officer
Reporting: The Accountant will report directly to the CFO and coordinate closely with other departments as necessary.
Contract Type: Full-time / [Probation Period: Six Months]
Salary: "As per company policy"

Duties And Responsibilities

The Accountant shall perform the following key tasks:
Maintain and update the general ledger and accounting records.
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
Monitor cash flow, banking transactions, and reconciliation.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
Coordinate with external auditors and assist in internal and external audits.
Maintain and safeguard financial documents and data confidentiality.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Verify employee expenses and process payroll.
Comply with Nepalese accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Recommend improvements in financial and operational systems.

Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies (BBS/BBA) or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing/export industry.
Sound knowledge of Nepalese Tax Laws (VAT, TDS, Customs, Income Tax).
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Sunday to Friday)
