Job Description

As an Accountant at Hamro Triveni Saving and Credit Cooperative, you will be responsible for managing the financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the financial operations of the cooperative. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Recording and maintaining all financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment collection.
  • Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow to ensure financial stability.
  • Preparing accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other relevant taxes.
  • Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Implementing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard the cooperative’s assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Overseeing the management of member accounts, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan disbursements.
  • Providing financial information and assistance to members as needed.
