Job Description

Mega Business Group, a leading automobile company in Kathmandu, is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection of outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as needed.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support decision-making by management.
  • Ensure compliance with Nepalese accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support for business activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
