Phoenix Distillery established in 2015, the Phoenix Distillery is where it all started. The goal was simple: create a spirit that would forge a benchmark in the Nepalese Alcohol industry, and proudly represent the nation on a global scale. Lucky for us, the fertile soils and pure spring waters of the pristine mid hills of Nepal laid the groundwork for our endeavors. What followed was a long and meticulous process of research, development, and experimentation to create the perfect bottle of high quality, single barrel malt whiskey. No half measures were taken in our pursuit for perfection. By putting together an expert team of Master Blenders from Ireland, Scotland, and Poland, along with an elite group of highly skilled distillers in Nepal, we were finally able to create something that we were proud of.

Job Description

Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures
Assist with financial and tax audits
Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team
Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services & suppliers
Maintaining records of all purchase & inventory

Day-to-Day Duties

Maintain the general ledger, prepare tax & Excise returns, assist with audit preparations, and perform other accounting duties as assigned
Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy
Monthly Cash, Bank, Customers & Vendors Reconciliation
Assist in production planning & Raw Material Ordering
Maintain the inventory tracking system to record delivery, shipments & stock Levels.
Maintain daily product & supply levels to anticipate inventory problems & shortages
Scrutinizing & Recording in customer’s Claim Deductions
Making TT/LC/RTGS & Cooperation with Bank
Prepare financial reports
Analyse complex financial reports and records
Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations
