Position Summary:

The company is looking for an "Accountant". The position holder is expected to have knowledge regarding accounting-related legislation and good insight into the Accounting process.

We are looking for a skilled Accountant who will help businesses make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company's finances. They are responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Handle all transactions related to accounts
Maintain daily accounts in accounting software (Tally)
Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients
Maintain financial database
Resolve accounting discrepancies
Prepare invoice
Reporting - Prepare daiy, weekly/monthly closing and cost accounting reports
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and document business accounts.
Ageing analysis of debtors/creditors/advances
GP Analysis of tour files.
Bank and Party Reconciliation.
Prepare and submit required reporting (Central Bank, Department of Tourism, bank etc.
Payment follows ups and collect Cash/cheque from Clients.

Required Skills:

Post Graduate in related field with 5 years’ experience and above in accounts in Travel Agency
S/He should have sound knowledge of reconciliation (party reconciliation-debtors, creditors, other advance, bank loan and bank account reconciliation etc.) and Income tax and the Government Related statutory compliance.
Should be skilled in cash management (management of fund transfers to and from accounts, Financial Reporting (e.g., weekly and monthly management reports, Prepare Budget and Budget Maintenance (e.g., tracking actual), Accounts administration (e.g., monitoring of payments and receivables, periodic reconciliation).
Should have knowledge of Vat and TAX.
Able to work independently
Excellent in computer applications MS WORD, MS EXCEL, TALLY accounting software
Mathematics should be strong
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of auditing practices and principles
Excellent in computer application ms word, ms excel, Tally accounting software, power point etc.
Must be willing to work even under stress and out of usual working time.

NOTE: Two-wheeler license holder and two-wheeler holder are preferred
