Roles and responsibilities of this job

UniApply is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Account Officer to manage daily accounting and financial operations while also supporting student admission and application processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial discipline, accuracy, and effective communication skills to coordinate with students, parents, and partner institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance Responsibilities:

Maintain daily accounts, cash book, bank book, and general ledger
Prepare vouchers, invoices, receipts, and payment records
Handle student fees, application fees, service charges, and refunds
Perform bank reconciliation and cash balance verification
Prepare monthly financial statements and expense reports
Assist with audits, taxation, and statutory compliance
Coordinate with management on budgeting and financial reporting

Admission & Student Services Responsibilities:

Guide students on admission procedures and documentation requirements
Process applications for universities and colleges partnered with UniApply
Verify and manage student academic and financial documents
Coordinate with universities, agents, and internal teams regarding admissions
Track application progress (Offer Letter, COA, PLOA, Visa stages, etc.)
Maintain accurate student admission records and databases
Assist students with fee payment procedures and confirmations
Provide regular updates to students and parents regarding application status

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience (education consultancy experience preferred)
Good knowledge of Nepal’s accounting system and basic taxation
Familiarity with international student admission processes is an added advantage

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong accounting and financial management skills
Excellent communication and student-handling abilities
Close attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and accounting software
Professional, ethical, and responsible work attitude
