Job Description

The primary purpose of an Account Officer is to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of a company's financial transactions and records. The role involves managing financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and supporting financial decision-making through proper budgeting and reporting.

In a real estate and construction company, the Account Officer plays a crucial role in tracking project expenses, managing payments to vendors and contractors, handling property-related financial transactions, and ensuring financial transparency to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record all financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, income and up-to-date maintenance of financial records, ledgers, and accounts
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
  • Manage payroll processes; ensure accurate and timely disbursement of salaries.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statement
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets for various projects and departments.
  • Monitor and control expenditures to ensure financial stability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Present financial reports to the management team and provide insights into financial performance.
  • Good knowledge of VAT, TDS and assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Production management and government policies
  • Facilitate and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Prepare project wise inventory report with accurate consumption.
  • Lead month-end reconciliation processes to close out financial accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy in financial reporting.
