Job Description

Job Summary: The Account Officer is responsible for understanding and analyzing the overall financial health of the company, ensuring accuracy of data, and proactively communicating findings to enable decision-making.
Compensation & Benefits: Negotiable
Reporting To: Finance Manager
Tenure: 2 years (renewable)

Professional Pre-requisites

  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting in similar position
  • Knowledge of Tax Compliance
  • Familiar with any accounting software
  • Excellent communication with reporting and presentation skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including preparation of various graphs & analyzing trend

Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage & maintain correct complete records and submit all required reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare projection and provisional reports.
  • Prepare budget forecasts, finalization and presentation.
  • Compute taxes, process tax payments and returns.
  • Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy.
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations.
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
  • Assist in Audit financial transactions and documents.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile Banks, Debtors, Creditors on regular basis.
