Nepal Water & Energy Development Company Pvt. Ltd. (NWEDC) is an energy utility company specialized in hydropower development and was established with an intention of encouraging foreign investment to work in the area of hydropower in Nepal.

NWEDC is a Special Purpose Vehicle through which KOEN, KIND, IFC (World Bank Group) and a local partner have been developing Upper Trishuli-1 (UT-1) Hydroelectric Project.

The 216 MW UT-1 Hydroelectric Project located in Rasuwa District of Nepal will annually generate 1456 GWh  of hydroelectricity and supply to the National Grid of Nepal.

Job Description

  • Make Accounting Entries related to International Financial Reporting Standard and Nepal Financial Reporting Standard (NFRS)
  • Proper documentation of all IFRS and NFRS related vouchers
  • Reconciliation of TDS, VAT, other declaration of taxes and process for timely deposit and verification
  • Filling of estimated and final e-return according to Income Tax Act, FY 2018/19
  • To assist Account Manager or person in charge, in preparing IFRS/NFRS based financial statements and notes to account
  • Liaison with Government offices, NRB and Banks for accounts related work
  • Keep proper book keeping of all accounting transaction
  • Prepare and Maintain books of account, prepare the records
  • Assist for preparation of required monthly/quarterly/yearly reports
  • Compute taxes payable and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Carry out other works as directed by CEO, MD, CFO and Account Manager or person in charge of Accounts Department
