Skills and abilities:

  • Familiar with various computer software packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other accounting packages
  • Excellent typing both Nepali and English
  • Excellent documentation and management skill
  • Sound knowledge on Nepal Accounting Standards, TAX and VAT
  • Driving License of Motorbike is preferable

Appointment Type: Full Time for one year with possibility of extension
Required Qualification: Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related subject
Experience: Minimum 2-year experience in similar field
Language required: English, Nepali and other local languages are preferable contextual to the Jajarkot and West Rukum
Other requirement: Two-wheeler license
Preferable: Preference will be given to the regional candidates.


Job Description

National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) is implementing “USAID Education Emergency Response Project” with the funding support from USAID Nepal for the period of 2024 to 2027. The main objective is to support restoration and recovery of the education system in earthquake affected areas of Jajarkot and Rukum West and contribute towards building resilience of the education system. NSET seeks applications for the following positions from eligible candidates:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Journal Vouchers for NSET and its projects Expenses
  • Prepare Cheques for payment for expenses
  • Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation on time
  • Prepare Vendor List for annual audit purposes
  • Visit banks and tax office for official business
  • Support senior finance staff to file VAT and TDS on Time
  • Performing other duties as assigned by senior staff of Finance Department
