Job Description

As an Account Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with the largest mobile app development company in Nepal and an award-winning software development company in Australia. You will be a part of a dynamic team and will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals who will guide you in your daily tasks and help you grow in your role. You will be supporting the overall financial processes and will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge through our tailor-made professional development programmes. 

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 5:30pm 
Report to: Senior Finance Officer/ Associate Director - Treasury and Finance 

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
  • Minimum one year of experience in similar role 
  • Two wheeler license 
  • Familiar with accounting software ,tally and Xero 
  • Logical, tactful, problem-solver and attention to detail 
  • Zeal towards learning new things and towards growing in one’s career 

What you will be doing: 

  • Manage the payroll process including timely salary disbursements, evaluation of TDS on personal income and making consequent IRD depositions 
  • Handle vendor management and timely payment of miscellaneous expenses on issues such as but not limited to: rent, insurance, phone, electricity and water 
  • Maintain documentation for the procurement, logistics, supply and security processes 
  • Manage the treasury functions including cash payments and receipts and cash forecasts 
  • Prepare all external accounting entries 
  • Ensure payment of taxes as per the government laws and regulations 
  • Ensure timely submission of minutes/documents for Company Registration as per government law and acts 
  • Coordinate with tax for audit, tax clearance and other assigned tasks 
  • Coordinate with municipality, CIT office, SSF office and Malpot office 
  • Compile and finalize VAT and TDS 
  • Prepare the ETDS and submit it to tax 
  • Compile and finalize SSF and CIT before submitting it in the government portal 
  • Ensure timely submission of minutes/documents for banks 
  • Prepare, review and evaluate contract with vendor and lead contract negotiations 
  • Review and manage overall internal control system including the finalization of the payment schedule
  • Manage all official documents of the company 
  • Supervise the repair and renovation of office equipments 
  • Organize, secure and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures 
  • Any other relevant ad-hoc duties in support of the finance team

  • Excel skills and general IT skills 

Competencies and Experiences that are not mandatory but would excite us: 

  • Knowledge of Nepal tax laws and policies ,proficiency in SSF/CIT/Banking transaction 
  • Knowledge of internal control systems 
  • Good working knowledge of accounting
