Thaha Khabar is a news agency that has just entered its 18th year of operation. As the company grows, we are looking to advance our social media and online presence.

We are looking a creative Video Editor who can edit short format videos (1-3 mins) as well as long format videos (45-90 mins) e.g: Shorts, Reels, TikTok, Youtube Videos, Interviews, Podcast and so on).

Key Responsibilities

1. Editing and Assembly:

Cutting and assembling raw footage into a cohesive narrative.
Adding transitions, music, sound effects, and visual effects.
Performing colour correction and grading.
Adding text overlays and captions.

2. Technical Proficiency:

Expertise in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
Understanding of video formats, codecs, and resolutions.
Ability to handle and organise large video files.
Knowledge of audio editing and mixing.

3. Quality Control:

Ensuring videos meet technical and quality standards.
Identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies.
Adhering to brand guidelines and style preferences.

4. Project Management:

Managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
Organising and maintaining project files and assets.
Communicating project status and revisions effectively.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 3 years

Other Specification

Minimum of 3+ years of video editing experience.
Prior experience in a similar field (news, media, social media content creation) is a plus.
Strong understanding of video storytelling techniques.
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A creative mindset with attention to detail.
