Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Purpose: Provide technical assistance to the respective Infrastructure Development Offices(IDOs)/ Transport Infrastructure Directorate (TID) and Palikas

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with one year experience in trail bridges or completed one year of traineeship on “Trail and Motorable Bridges”.

Duration: 3 years (subject to project approval)

Duty station: Provincial Offices of Trail Bridge Support Unit (TBSU) with frequent travel to the field (at least 70% of time in the field)

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

Support Provincial partner by co-working to provide technical assistance to the respective IDOs/TID and Palikas, ensuring that they construct bridges as per national norms and standard and in the spirit of National Policy
Monitor the performance of other partner providing support to IDOs/TID/Palikas and guide them when deemed required
Planning, budgeting, survey, design, estimate, monitoring and supervision of bridge construction ensuring social and environmental aspects, quality control and quality assurance of Trail bridges
