Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Responsibilities:

Setup, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers
Setup and deploy different web applications and projects in online as well as offline environments
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Oversee the existing DevOps cycle and develop and implement DevOps practices in new projects
Maintain and monitor the office network
Maintain technical documentation for OLE Nepal office
Research and explore edtech technology and provide pragmatic solutions
Travel to rural schools for the school system set up and training
End-user technical support for OLE Nepal staff
Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment
Support and provide guidance and insight to upper management to procure technical equipment
Delegate technical responsibilities and monitor the progress of projects

Requirements:

Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent
Proven minimum 1 year of experience in Linux System Administration
Intermediate Windows systems administration
Experience with bash scripting and automation tools
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
Strong knowledge of DevOps and working experience with different DevOps tools
Strong knowledge and experience in containerization tools like Docker is a must
Research oriented who is a keen learner and constantly looking for the latest and optimal technologies
Working experience in cloud computing services like AWS
Positive attitude and great team player who can work well with the team
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel to schools in remote areas
Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline driven environment
Exceptional communication and reporting skills
Solid working knowledge in all required software and programming languages
Outstanding leadership skills and ability to delegate responsibilities effectively
