Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and motivated Support Teacher to provide academic, behavioral, and pastoral support to novice monks during evening hours. The successful candidate will help create a positive learning environment, support homework and study sessions, guide students in personal development, and assist with extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide academic support and guidance to novice monks after school hours.
Assist students with homework, assignments, revision, and study skills development.
Monitor and encourage students' academic progress and positive learning habits.
Support junior novice monks in their daily routines and personal development.
Guide students in managing conflicts and addressing behavioral challenges constructively.
Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive living and learning environment.
Supervise evening study sessions and ensure productive use of study time.
Encourage discipline, responsibility, and positive social behavior among students.
Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising extracurricular and recreational activities.
Support the holistic development and well-being of novice monks through mentorship and pastoral care.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience working with children, adolescents, or students in an educational, residential, or community setting.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills.
Ability to manage student behavior positively and effectively.
Patient, caring, and committed to supporting student growth and well-being.
Ability to work during evening hours.
