Job Description

The Metaphor Consultancy is seeking a motivated and experienced Study Abroad Counselor to join our dynamic team. As a mid-level role in the Consulting/Legal industry, this position requires strong Marketing and Presentation Skills, along with exceptional Time Management abilities to effectively counsel and advise students on their international education opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Conduct one-on-one consultations with students to assess their study abroad goals and preferences
Guide students through the application process for international programs and assist with necessary paperwork and documentation
Provide comprehensive and accurate information on international education systems, including visas, financial aid, and cultural expectations
Utilize problem-solving skills to address any challenges or obstacles that students may encounter during their application process
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends and developments in the study abroad industry
Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement effective counseling and advising strategies
Communicate regularly with students and their families to keep them informed and involved in the study abroad process
Organize and participate in informational sessions and presentations to promote study abroad opportunities to students and other stakeholders
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in building relationships with students and other stakeholders, both in person and through various communication methods
Possess a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in application materials and student records.
