Overview

Due to Company growth, we are we are actively seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Structural design engineering team in Nepal office to support our US team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. 5+ years of US Steel & Concrete Design experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in US Steel & Concrete Design, & US substation structure design.
Thorough knowledge of US Building Codes including IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE, AWS, and ASTM.
Proficiency in engineering software/tools such as STAAD, LPile, Caisson, Hilti Profis, Mathcad, and Tekla TEDDS.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with clients and present technical information.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute positively to interdisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

Utilize your in-depth expertise in steel and concrete design to create structurally sound and efficient designs for substation structures in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Proficiently use a range of engineering software tools to perform structural analysis, design calculations, and modeling.
Manage the review process of submittals and shop drawings, ensuring they meet project requirements and adhere to applicable codes and specifications.
Prepare and review specifications for substation structural designs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Interact with clients, attend project meetings, and provide updates on project progress as required, effectively communicating technical details in a client-friendly manner.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
Maintain detailed records of design calculations, analysis results, and other project-related documentation.
