Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

You shall work alongside with other engineers/architects/drafters and your scope of work shall include but not limited to the followings:

You shall be appointed to be a part of the technical team and report directly to Director of Civil and structural engineering on the day to day technical issues
You are to manage the technical performance of the projects assigned to you and to ensure the products delivered to the clients on time, meeting the client’s requirements and code compliance
As a structural engineer you are tasked to prepare design briefs, develop conceptual framing plans and structural system, finalize them leading to detailed design, provide sketches to the drafters for producing CAD/Revit drawings, prepare documents for Authority submissions, prepare design calculation and design reports
Assist in coordinating information for cost and quantity estimates with the Quantity Surveyors.
Prepare technical specifications and contract documents
Assist in Project Management
You are required to coordinate with different trades including client/architects/MEP, attend meetings and site visits as and when required
Carry out the tasks as instructed by the supervisor

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 5 years

Other Specification

The aspiring applicant should meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the recognized university and preferably master’s degree in structural engineering
At least 5 years of relevant experience especially on mid-rise/high-rise buildings
Responsible for the overall design and engineering of structural systems for projects assigned from preliminary phase through construction closeout
Lead a team of structural engineers and drafters in production of drawings, specifications and calculations for large complex projects
Self-motivation, sincere, hardworking and commitment for timely and quality works
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Well versed in structural engineering software like ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE and enthusiasm to learn other relevant structural design software as per need
Willing to undergo training and travel
Knowledge on RAPT software, British Codes, ACI, AISC, Euro codes and Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Revit is an advantage
