Department/Group: Software Development

The role:

We have multiple opening such as SDE-1, SDE-II and SDE-III in Nepal and India, the right candidates will be able to solve complex problem with limited guidance and has high sense of ownership and respect for the code they write and ship, we expect our engineers to take leadership of key areas within the development of these disruptive systems and play significant role in architectural design and technology choices

The candidate:

We're looking for an individual who recognizes that writing tests is not something you do after writing code. You believe that doing something twice is enough of a reason to script it for next time. You are expert in taking a high-level system architecture and translating it into high-quality low-level designs and implementation approach. You have experience in a range of new technologies through your current role but have also researched and played around with other new technologies in your own time. Because coding matters and to make the right decisions you need to be informed.

The projects:

We are working on a selection of exciting projects including an Internet of Things, Big Data, Analytics and AI/ML driven Health Interface applications to disrupt the healthcare industry with power of modern technologies. Working closely with a growing team in India and our colleagues in Dubai you will be involved in supplying disruptive technology solutions to a range of industries.

Skills & Requirements

The important skills:

5+ years of solid commercial development experience in Java
Knowledge of the Java stack – Spring, Apache libraries and common open- source frameworks. We love open source
REST, API design & micro-services with exposure to GraphQL
No-SQL Databases such as Mongo DB and Search indexes such as Elastic Search
Strong understanding of Linux distributions
Security aware at all stages of the development process
Comprehensive automated testing experience, continuous integration
Able to adopt and understand new technologies and utilize them efficiently
Passionate about code quality and readability

The skills we’re also interested in:

Distributed cloud-based systems, services and architecture
AWS & other cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud
Containerization technologies such as Kubernetes
Other NoSQL and Geospatial databases experience
Lambda architecture with Kafka as well as Storm and Spark
Exposure to big data and advance analytics using MPP warehouses or similar technologies
