Job Description

Responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing change requests to existing Java applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in scrum ceremonies for effective communication and coordination with the US on-shore team
• Write clean readable code that is maintainable and can easily accommodate future changes.
• Provide support and implement change requests to existing Java applications.
• Debug and troubleshoot existing legacy Java applications and suggest solutions aptly.
• Participate in requirement analysis, gather information, and recommend the most optimal business solution.
• Perform research and integrate recent and up-to-date technologies into the project.
• Document and contribute to the project knowledge base.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven working experience as a Java Developer
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any relevant field
• Strong foundation in Core Java
• Familiar with Java8 features.
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Sound experience with Spring framework and related technologies
• Sound knowledge of design patterns and design principles
• Experience writing unit tests and familiar with Test-Driven-Development
• Knowledge of Frontend frameworks such as Angular will be a plus.
• Experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2 will be a plus.
• Knowledge of search engines such as Solr, Lucene or Elastic Search will be a plus.
