Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a SQL Database Developer with ETL Experience at Midas Health Services Pvt. Ltd. in Kathmandu. The role involves database development, administration, design, and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases to support various applications and business needs.
Develop and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
Optimize database performance by analyzing and resolving performance issues, tuning queries, and managing indexes.
Collaborate with data analysts, software developers, and other stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements.
Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data validation and implementing best practices.
Create and maintain documentation for database schemas, ETL processes, and data flow diagrams.
Monitor database performance, perform regular maintenance, and ensure database security and backup procedures are followed.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in database management and ETL technologies.

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a SQL Database Developer with a strong focus on ETL processes.

Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent understanding of data modeling, database design, and normalization.
Ability to write complex SQL queries and optimize them for performance.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is a plus.
Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) is an advantage.
