Play Nepal is an all-star team of young, fun, energetic athletes committed to help every child thrive. Established on 2017 with the vision of building the nation where all children are prepared to lead healthy and physically active lives. We engage all kids aged 5-14 in games and play that promote a healthy body and a healthy mind. We run our program serving over 25,000 children in different schools both inside and outside the Kathmandu Valley.

Play Nepal has partnership with Kathmandu University for the training curriculum and UNESCO is the technical partner of this collaboration.

Our team goes to school with unique programming that is:

Inclusive: Games are simple yet stimulating for all kids regardless of age, gender, or ability.
Academic: Gameplay incorporates age-appropriate concepts to reinforce understanding in an engaging context.
Dynamic and Impactful: Our games are designed to inspire movement, boost energy, enhance focus and creating an engaging environment.

Job Description

Play Nepal delivers innovative sports coaching to schools. We inspire children to improve their mental and physical health through our fun, educational and motivating curriculum.

We are currently recruiting both men and women coaches to deliver the Play Nepal classes in schools across Kathmandu.

You do not need to be a player or have an existing coach qualification. If you are a successful candidate, you will receive an intensive and bespoke training program to enable you to deliver fun, interactive games to children in our partner schools from Grades 1 - 8.

The ideal candidate will have:

A passion for sports and active engagement in sports or gym classes.
Excellent communication skills in English
Good sense of humor
A desire to work with children
To visit assigned schools and provide trainings for grade 1-8
To deliver trainings for 5 consecutive periods each day
To monitor the students’ progress and report on any achievements or developments; to contribute to the Annual Reviews
To establish a good relationship with schools, parents and students to provide information and feedback
To be aware of and comply with the policies and procedures relating to Children Safeguarding, Health & Safety, security, maintain confidentiality and Data Protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
