2+ years MSSQL Server Developer/Administration experience required
Strong knowledge of database design, administration, and architecture
Must have strong knowledge on stored procedure and query optimization
Understanding of MSSQL's underlying physical and logical files
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of database tuning: software configuration, memory usage, data access, data manipulation, SQL, and physical storage
Should have knowledge on database architecture and design
Knowledge of structure query language (SQL) e.g., SQL/PSM or Transact- SQL
Ability to develop procedure documents and maintain detailed database related documents.
Concept of Database-as-a-service

Job Description

Writing and debugging complex SQL and understanding the best ways to incorporate database requests into application programs
Configure and maintain database servers, including monitoring of system health and performance and database processes, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
Create data migration/conversion techniques for system conversions or upgrades
Manage Production, QA and development database environments
Learn relevant business processes and understand the data flow, criticality, and dependencies
Allocate system storage and plan storage requirements for database systems
Perform periodic health checks and reports on database systems
Develop innovation, strategies, processes, and best practices
Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log issues, connectivity issues, and security issues
Create T-SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, alerts, scripts for automation, and DTS packages for ETL
Employ SSAS and SSRS to automate data and reporting requirements by customers, vendors, and state and federal regulatory agencies
