Roles and responsibilities of this job

Social Mobilizer, will lead over all Project implementation activities at Municipal level under guidance from Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. The Social Mobilizer will be responsible for supporting the monitoring, evaluation, documentation, coordination, communication and reporting of Project to Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. H/She have responsible to provide appropriate technical and functional support, and managing relationships with sectoral key stakeholders including Changunarayan and Suryabinayak Municipality.

Reports To: Direct report to Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and indirect report to Social Worker

Major Responsibilities:

Design and facilitate community mobilization/sensitization campaigns at Community, Ward and Municipal level in collaboration with the World Education Inc
Implement the activities of the Sakriya Project, and to ensure quality implementation of activities and ensure communities are sensitized to the project as quickly as possible
Identify, document, report and provide technical support to Project staffs members related to community mobilization part
Plan and organize weekly and monthly Community mobilization and sensitization program for the local government area
Orientate community stakeholders and gate keepers on community mobilization part of Project
Mobilize community members and beneficiaries
Ensure liaison with existing community structures, groups and individuals where possible
Submit a weekly and monthly report of Local level project activities to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer as well Social Worker
Report progress and any problems in a timely manner to the Supervisor
Using systematic approaches gather information through the community about the program strong and weak side, on the week side take immediate action to solve
Attend regular local level meetings with the team
Perform any other project related duties as specified by the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Ability to engage with communities
Experience in mobilization and familiarity of local context
Experience in campaign development and/or implementation is an advantage

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Higher Secondary (+2/A Levels/IB)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Intermediate degree or +2 Pass in Humanities and Social Science, Education or relevant discipline
Minimum of one year professional experience in a development projects
Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating project activities
Fluency in Nepali language proficiency – local language a plus

Implementing Organization: Child Development Society (CDS) in partnership with World Education, Inc.
Duty Station: Changunarayan and Suryabinayak Municipality, Bhaktapur (field based)

Offered financial and non-financial compensation for this job

Offered Salary:NRs. 15,000 Monthly
