Human & National Development Society (HANDS) Nepal is a social, non-governmental, non-political, non-profit making Sindhuli based and multi-disciplinary organization registered at the District Administration Office (DAO), Sindhuli in 2057 B.S. and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), Kathmandu since 2061 B.S. HANDS Nepal was initiated by a group of well -qualified and experienced professionals who have several years’ experiences in the area of natural resources management and integrated community development sectors. It was established with an aim to bring about sustainable development of the rural communities of Nepal through envisioning, implementing and supporting community initiatives to development. It focuses on governance, human/dalit/child rights, women empowerment, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), gender and social inclusion, income generation, protection, health, education and sanitation of rural communities. It has been working in Sindhuli, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha and Udayapur, Makawanpur, Lalitapur, Chitawan, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Dhanusha, Siraha, Rasuwa, Morang districts for strengthening the local governments and empowering the communities by providing knowledge, skills and awareness on education, WASH, health, solid waste management, livelihood, protection, gender, disaster and climate change adaptation in partnership with various international organizations. It has more than 20-year experience in the field of community development and already implemented more than 42 projects in partnerships with various international organizations including Plan International Nepal, TIFA Japan, Heifer International Nepal, World Vision International etc. All these projects have benefitted more than 200,000 populations in project implemented districts.

Job Description

Duty Station: Sindhuli 

Working area: Sindhuli District 

Contract type: Fix term regular staff

Expertise: CMA/ ANM degree with experience of 1-2 years or +2 pass in health with the 3 years' experience relevant sector. 

Job description: 

  • Planning of program as per agreed with Plan International Nepal.
  • Sole responsible especially for the community diagnosis and household visit to collect the data related to covid-19 vaccine and states.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders, Rural Council Members and Municipality for implementation of the program at community level.
  • Frequent monitoring and follow up of each activity.
  • Conduct trainings to rising awareness and capacity build up.
  • Attend meetings, workshop, trainings, exposure visits and interaction program organized by Plan International Nepal, HANDS itself and other organization as well.
  • Carry out other program related actions inquired by HANDS Nepal.
  • Coordinate with government staff, Health worker, Member of local government and stakeholders for program delivery, resource sharing and mainstream the program.
  • Collect and update the disaggregated data of beneficiaries, compile it and submit accordingly.
  • Physical verification of project before financial settlement
  • Support to PO to implement the project activities in community.
  • Regular facilitate, monitor and support to awareness of the vaccination and health related message.
  • Facilitate to community leaders/teachers/parents to create fear free and non-violent child develop environment in community.
  • Prepared financial documents and process for the settlement.
  • Participate on monthly meeting, submit monthly report.
