Minimum 2 years’ experience in Building Construction works for Diploma in Civil Engineering
Language required: English, Nepali and other local languages are preferable contextual to the Jajarkot and West Rukum

Job Description

National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) is implementing “USAID Education Emergency Response Project” with the funding support from USAID Nepal for the period of 2024 to 2027. The main objective is to support restoration and recovery of the education system in earthquake affected areas of Jajarkot and Rukum West and contribute towards building resilience of the education system. NSET seeks applications for the following positions from eligible candidates:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input for the construction of Transitional Learning Center (TLCs), coordinate with local governments, schoolteachers, school management committee and communities at municipal level.
  • Conduct/Assist awareness programs for earthquake resistance construction practices to local governments, schoolteachers, school management committee and communities at municipal level.
  • Conduct/Assist training program for earthquake resistance TLCs construction to local masons of municipality, if required
  • Data management and reporting
  • Performing other duties as assigned
