Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Service technician/Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Photocopiers, printers, MFPs , and related office automation equipment’s across Nepal. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, good customer handling skills, and willingness to travel for field support. The candidate should also maintain professional conduct and contribute towards customer satisfaction and company growth.

Department: Technical Service Department
Reporting to: Service Manager/Technical Head

Key Responsibilities

1. Repair and Maintenance

Troubleshoot, repair and maintain photocopiers, printers, MFPs and related equipment at customer site
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines.
Update and upgrade firmware/software whenever required.
Ensure machines are maintained in proper operational and cosmetic condition.
Maintain machine uptime and minimize repeat complaints.
Close service cases within 24 hours whenever possible.
Ensure response time within 2 hours for customer complaints.
Travel across Nepal whenever required for installation, maintenance, and technical support.
Maintain daily service logs and submit reports to the supervisor/Department head.

2. Installation and Training

Install machines and related equipment at customer locations.
Configure machine settings, drivers, scanning, and network connectivity.
Provide operational orientation and basic user training to customers.
Support coworkers with technical knowledge and product understanding when required.

3. Customer Support and Communication

Respond to customer calls and emails within 2 hours.
Communicate professionally with customers to maintain strong brand value and customer satisfaction.
Understand customer issue and provide effective technical solutions.
Coordinate with the parent company/OEM whenever required.
Prepare technical reports on machine issues, findings, and solutions whenever requested.

4. Workplace and Documentation Management

Maintain accurate customer records and service history.
Keep the workshop and workplace clean, organized, and safe.
Properly handle company tools, spare parts, and equipment.
Study machine history to forecast spare parts and consumable requirements.
Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene as per industry standards.

5. Learning and Development

Continuously improve technical and product knowledge.
Gain working knowledge of all company products and solutions.
Attend technical training and certification programs as required.
Travel abroad for OEM training programs whenever required.

6. Sales and Business Support

Promote and sell service contracts, spare parts and consumables.
Forward potential product sales leads to the sales team.
Support the company in improving customer relationships and service business growth.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Diploma Certificate

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Required Skills

Knowledge of Photocopier/Printer/MFP trouble shooting and repair.
Basic networking and scanner setup knowledge.
Electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.
Firmware/software installation and upgrade knowledge.
Good communication and customer handling skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple service calls.
Basic computer and reporting skills (MS office/email).

Qualification and Experience

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer, or related field preferred.
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in Photocopier/printer/MFP service preferred.
Freshers with strong technical background and learning attitude may also apply.

Reduction in repeat complaints.
Proper documentation and reporting.
