Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Preparing statutory annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies as well as corporation tax computations
Planning and completing audit and accounting assignments to a high standard of technical competence and within time/budget constraints
Assisting the portfolio manager & partner to achieve deadlines
Regular Dealing with UK clients for all queries
To undertake smaller and medium sized assignments independently or assist in larger assignments reporting to a Manager or Senior Manager
Preparation of management reporting and analysis, and quarterly VAT returns for your portfolio
Reviewing and completion of all work prior to partner review
Maintaining technical competence

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

ACCA/ CA/ CPA/ MBA qualified accountant with minimum 2 years’ experience in practice
Strong knowledge of accounting systems, UK tax laws and accounting standards applicable to small and medium-sized business
Experience within an accountancy practice
Able to work on multiple projects, in a fast paced environment and work effectively to deadlines and time-scales
Previously been responsible for managing a portfolio of clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to both clients and colleagues

Desirable Requirements

Have basic knowledge of IRIS, Xero, Sage & QuickBooks
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with excellent Excel spreadsheet skill
Experience of working with companies in UK
