Role overview

We are looking to hire for the position of Senior FrontEnd Developer.

This role is responsible for building the ‘client-side’ of our web applications. You should be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

You should be able to create a functional and attractive digital environment for our company, ensuring great user experience.

Also, this role should also do efficient communication with Australian team for getting requirement, do necessary task planning with team for better completion of the application. This role is seen as a leader and an expert in the team. This role should also invest time on organizing, upskilling and training junior counterparts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Expertise (50%)

Use latest technologies to create user-friendly web pages and web apps
Develop features and improvements to our products and websites in a secure, well-tested, and performant way
Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity
Help define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review
Learn, collaborate, and teach other Frontend Devs. Everyone can contribute something new to the team regardless of how long they’ve been in the industry
Exert influence on the overall vision and long-range goals of our team
Optimize applications for maximum speed
Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
Get feedback from, and build solutions for, stakeholders
Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
Stay up to date on emerging technologies
Proper use of task management and time logging tools
Comply with project plans and company standards
Setting up of Front-End architecture
Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes
Investigating and using new technologies where relevant
Write well-designed, testable code
Providing written knowledge transfer material

Product Quality Assurance (20%)

Develop verification plans and quality assurance procedures
Conduct testing and verification of software before sending to QA
Prepare functional document for QA team for further testing.

Team Management (15%)

Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate FE Devs in our team to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers
Should be a team leader, assigning task to juniors and helping them.
Should help manager on task planning and helps and report to manager on task assigned

Stakeholder Management (15%)

Provide regular and effective progress updates to and work closely with Development Project Managers to ensure the management of any delivery risks or issues
Work with Product Management and other stakeholders (Backend, UX, etc.) to create new features

Qualification, Skills and Competencies

Proven work experience above 4+ years as a Frontend developer
Professional experience with VUEJS or another modern JavaScript web framework (React, Angular, Ember, etc.)
Experience with writing automated tests (e.g. Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Mocha)
Experience using Git in a professional/workplace environment
A solid understanding in core web and browser concepts (e.g. how the browser parses and constructs a web page)
A solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts
Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions
Comfort working in a highly agile, [intensely iterative] [iteration] software development process
Positive and solution-oriented mindset
Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
Share our values, and work in accordance with those values
Should know how to create DRY and S.O.L.I.D. code
Understanding of layout aesthetics
Knowledge of SEO principles
Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Figma, JIRA etc.
An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
