Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are expanding our professional services team in Kathmandu and are seeking experienced and detail-oriented individuals for the position of Senior Account Officer to manage financial reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support effective financial management. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing timely financial insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Prepare year-end financial statements for UK companies in compliance with UK GAAP and FRS 102.
Handle bookkeeping, management accounts, bank reconciliation, and month-end close processes.
Review work prepared by junior accountants to ensure accuracy and adherence to UK accounting standards.
Support clients with accounting queries and provide clear, well-reasoned explanations.
Coordinate with UK managers to ensure timely delivery of client work.

Note:

ACCA/CA/CPA part-qualified or fully qualified preferred.

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards (experience with FRS 102 is an advantage).
Proficiency with cloud software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, or similar tools.
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
