We are a dynamic and growing Private Limited Trading Company based in Kathmandu, seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Reporting

Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, reports, and records.
Analyze accounting information for decision-making.
Fixed asset management and bank account reconciliation.
Monitor reserves and short-term fund investments.
Perform audits, verify documentation, and ensure compliance.
Provide financial and profitability analysis when required.
Conduct periodic costing of goods to ensure sustainable profitability.
Plan and reorder inventory regularly.

2. Banking Operations

Manage trade finance processes: LC, TT, DAP documentation.
Liaise with banks for credit facilities (TR, OD, WCL, STTL, STL).
Ensure timely repayment of interest and principal amounts.
Prepare and submit financial reports as required by the bank.

3. Taxation & Compliance

Maintain ledgers, purchase/sales registers, and inventory records in TALLY and manual formats.
Ensure books are always up-to-date.
File VAT, TDS, and other statutory returns timely.
Prepare audit-ready books per Government of Nepal standards.
Conduct and support internal/external audits.
Reconcile physical inventory with book records and report discrepancies.

4. Team Management

Lead and mentor the accounts team for accurate and timely data entry.
Promote a culture of efficiency, responsibility, and loyalty.
Train junior staff on accounting best practices and software usage.
Align team efforts with the company’s long-term goals.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Required Age:More than 26 years

Other Specification

Required Qualifications & Attributes:

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or equivalent.
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience in a Pvt. Ltd. company (preferably in the trading sector).
Strong command of TALLY, MS Excel, MS Word, and email communications.
A positive attitude, commitment to excellence, and strong ethical standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Other Requirements:

Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving license.
Aged 26 years or above and permanently settled in Kathmandu with no plans to relocate abroad or outside the valley.
Willing to work overtime when necessary.
Must be hard-working, self-motivated, and loyal, committed to contributing to the company’s long-term success.
Should be able to provide accurate periodic performance reports and suggest operational improvements respectfully.
Strong sense of responsibility and leadership.
