Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate Science Teacher/Science Head of Department (HOD) for the Senior School (Grades 7–10). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the science department, ensuring high academic standards, and fostering a culture of innovation and inquiry-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Science Department for Grades 7–10.
Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans.
Ensure curriculum alignment with academic standards and school goals.
Mentor and support science teachers in instructional practices.
Monitor student progress and implement improvement strategies.
Organize science-related activities, exhibitions, and practical sessions.
Maintain laboratory standards, safety procedures, and inventory.
Coordinate assessments, examinations, and result analysis.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Master’s Degree in Science or a related field (Physics/Chemistry/Biology).
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
Prior experience in a leadership or coordinator role is highly desirable.

Required Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound knowledge of modern teaching methodologies and assessment techniques.
Ability to inspire students and staff toward academic excellence.
Organizational and problem-solving skills.
