Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the health and wellness of our students, providing medical care, health education, and support. The School Nurse will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our students and maintaining a healthy school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Maintain accurate health records for all students.
Conduct health screenings and immunization programs.
Develop and implement health care plans for students with special medical needs.
Monitor and manage communicable diseases and other health issues within the school.
Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyles.
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student health and wellness.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and school policies.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license to practice in Kathmandu.
Prior experience of 1-2 years in a similar field.
Knowledge of CPR, treatment protocols, and first aid.
Good communication skills in English and Nepali, as well as school health services.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Rhododendron International Boarding School (RIBS) was established as a Primary Co-educational English Medium School at Kalanki in 1985 AD (2041 BS) at the founder's residence.

At present, it has been running up to the Secondary level in its own building at Chandragiri Municipality – 5, just behind Nepal Telecom, Earth Station, Gurjudhara, Balambu.

A group of well-experienced teaching staff along with the non-teaching staff are responsible for the overall management and the development of the school.
