Roles and responsibilities of this job

Millsberry International School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Librarian to manage our school library and foster a lifelong love of reading and research in our students. The ideal candidate will be organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about cultivating a vibrant reading culture across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the school library’s collection (books, digital resources, materials)
Assist students and staff in locating and selecting appropriate reading materials
Promote reading programs, book clubs, and literary events
Ensure smooth daily operations of the library, including check-outs and returns
Maintain an organized, quiet, and welcoming library environment
Support students in developing research and information literacy skills
Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Management, or a related field
Prior experience working in a school or academic library preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Familiarity with digital library systems and educational tools
Passion for books, literacy, and working with children and young adults
