Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and student-focused Part-Time School Counselor to support the academic, emotional, social, and personal development of students. The counselor will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and school leadership to promote student well-being, positive behavior, and healthy emotional growth in alignment with the school’s values and educational philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, emotional, social, and behavioral concerns
Support students in developing coping skills, self-awareness, resilience, and positive decision-making
Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support student well-being and learning outcomes
Assist students with academic planning, goal setting, and transitions when needed
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and well-being while maintaining confidentiality
Maintain accurate and confidential counseling records
Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
Uphold ethical standards and follow school policies and child protection guidelines

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field
Prior experience working as a school counselor or in a similar role (preferred)
Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
Empathetic, patient, and professional approach
Strong organizational and documentation skills

The surroundings are sylvan and rural, with a village nearby to cater to the School’s needs.
