Roles and responsibilities of this job

Responsibilities & Duties :

Source and procure rice that meets cleanliness and quality standards
Evaluate and certify the quality of rice through various inspection and testing methods
Negotiate and finalize contracts with buyers
Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery of rice shipments
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, prices, and industry standards
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to rice trade
Develop and maintain relationships with buyers
Handle customer inquiries and provide expert advice on rice quality and specifications
Monitor storage conditions to prevent contamination and ensure the integrity of rice stocks

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field
Prior experience in agricultural commodities trade
In-depth knowledge of rice cultivation and processing
Proficiency in quality assurance methods and inspection techniques
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Familiarity with supply chain management and logistics
Ability to analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly
Proficiency in relevant software and databases for tracking and managing inventory
Proven experience in brokerage or commodity trading
Strong understanding of agricultural practices and rice types
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to evaluate the quality and cleanliness of rice
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
