Roles and responsibilities of this job

This role is responsible in research and development of advancing technologies, concepts and solutions. This position involves research and analyzing emerging technologies, developing algorithms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and proof of concept of innovate product, services, enhancements and optimization.

Job Specification:

At least University degree in engineering/ science, IT/IS, computer applications or related field. Masters degree in respective fields preferred.
Working Experience of at least 1-2 years for entry level and 3-5 years for mid-level in research and development of new technologies, concepts, products, system/ technology . Immediate graduates with outstanding academics may also be considered for entry level.
Proficiency in programming languages of Python & Java (other languages will add value), data manipulation and analysis (Pandas) machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch including libraries like Pandas, NumPy) and data analysis tools.
Familiarity or experienced in one or more of the followings.
Have used machine learning algorithms, both classical and deep learning methods, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning. Working knowledge in building and optimizing deep learning models (RNNs, LSTMs or Transformers) for NLP, and time-series data. Knowledge in NLP techniques including text classiﬁcation, NER, information retrieval, prompt engineering, and working with LLMs like GPT and BERT models.
Investigate cutting-edge technologies in software development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics to identify opportunities for innovation and use cases. Utilize statistical tools and data visualization techniques to analyze large datasets, draw insights, and inform decision-making. Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and databases (SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
Understanding of blockchain technologies, including smart contracts, distributed ledgers, and decentralized applications (dApps). Applied knowledge of blockchain solutions within fintech, such as digital payments, CBDC, or decentralized finance (DeFi).
Ability to create and test prototypes or proof of concept of applications, technology or systems to validate concepts and system flows.
Possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with good communication abilities to explain complex topics to diverse audiences, a strategic mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
Work closely with software developers, and product managers to align research initiatives with business objectives.
