Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Participate in an induction training decided by the company for recruitment.
Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Execute manual test cases under the guidance of senior team members, following established testing procedures.
Investigate the root causes of non-conforming requirements to resolve the issues/bugs.
Work closely with team members, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, contribute to discussions, and facilitate effective communication.
Actively engage in continuous learning to understand testing methodologies, industry best practices, and the software development life cycle.
Assist in setting up and maintaining the testing environment, including software installations and configurations.
Learn from feedback provided by senior team members and incorporate improvements into testing practices.
Gain exposure to test automation concepts and tools, and support the automation team in creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
Participate in the review of test documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
Contribute to maintaining a high level of quality in the software by identifying and reporting issues early in the development process.

Educational Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology, BIM, BCA, BBA, BBS or equivalent degree.

Technical Requirement:

Good knowledge and skills in managing and maintaining Google Sheets (Excel), documents and forms: Ability to efficiently organize, update, and maintain data in Google Sheets and Documents for data organization and documentation.
Knowledge of Banking, Cooperatives and Financial Applications (Nice to Have): Familiarity with banking, cooperatives and financial applications is desirable for a more comprehensive understanding of the industry.
Experience in Core Banking System/Cooperatives/Financial Institutions (Nice to Have): Previous experience working in core banking systems, co-operatives, or financial institutions is considered an additional advantage.
Excellent communication skills - Verbal and Written: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members.
Basic knowledge of different Testing Methodologies: Understanding of various testing methodologies to apply appropriate testing techniques.
Basic knowledge of Agile Testing Process: Familiarity with Agile testing processes to align with iterative and collaborative development methods.
Bug hunting appetite: A proactive and keen interest in identifying and resolving software bugs, ensuring product quality.
Problem-solving aptitude: Strong problem-solving skills to analyze issues and propose effective solutions.
Self-learner: Ability and motivation to independently acquire new skills and knowledge to stay updated in the field.
