Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PYP Nepali Teacher to teach Nepali language and literature to Primary Years Programme (PYP) students. The ideal candidate will nurture students’ language skills while fostering an appreciation of Nepali history, culture, and heritage.

Academic Session: 2026–2027

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver Nepali language and literature lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
Use a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and digital tools to create engaging, interactive, and inquiry-based learning experiences
Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in Nepali
Design and implement assessments to monitor academic progress and provide constructive feedback
Maintain accurate records of student performance, learning portfolios, and lesson plans
Integrate Nepali history, geography, and culture into lessons to promote holistic learning
Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, school projects, and interdisciplinary activities
Participate actively in professional development, school events, and team meetings

Other Specification

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nepali, Education or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience teaching Nepali language and literature.
Experience using a variety of teaching methodologies and resources including interactive and digital tools.

Skills:

Knowledge of Nepali history, geography and culture.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motive students.
Organizational skills to manage lesson plans, assessment and students’ records.
